My copy of the 70’s CG book has a white cover—what’s left of it—and is a ragged mess. Still regularly consult it, though 80% is memorized. I see various offers of used editions, which maybe I should look into, given that my own has deteriorated through rigorous perusal in certain targeted areas of the house.
Robert, what line would you draw from Newman's _Rednecks_ ("well he may be a fool;/but he's our fool)" to the Drive By Truckers breakthrough _The Dirty South_ (2003)? Perhaps a semester course at Old Miss? At least,,,what...a side event at the long renowned summer Faulkner conference??

As a regular CD purchaser, I believe I would find those Consumer Guides invaluable...
